Dear Yvette,

There is to be another Brothel Owners meeting to be held on the 19th of March.

A response of some sort to our proposal is now urgently required.

Please do not take this request as being pushy in any way, but as you would understand

it is important to our “LEGAL INDUSTRY” as we do fear “Policy Failure”.

To keep you informed I will send along with this request some latest E-Mails

to be included within the hard copy file I sent you previously.

I do understand that your time is precious, and I apologise for taking up some of it.

I do however strongly believe, you also being the Minister for Justice that the words

ILLEGAL SEX INDUSTRY” should be taken seriously.

Thanking you once more.

Kind regards.

Subject: Fw: Request for you to put the "Queensland Prostitution Act" back on the agenda.

Att:  To the Attorney General and Minister for Justice the Hon Yvette D’Ath,

Dear Yvette,

I am putting this most important sex industry issue to you, only as a last

resort (Refer to E-Mails below)

The reason is to help Glean “the Queensland Prostitution Act” and make it a “World Class Act”.

It is of course disappointing that the P.L.A. has again refused to implement

our proposal.

Our proposal is that “Prostitution advertising is to be done strictly with a

Queensland Land Line phone number only”.

( Whether that is in old copper, N.B.N or N.B.N to the Node.)

If implemented it would work like a wrecking ball through the Illegal sex industry,

and would be a win, win, win, win for all, “with only one loser”:

1   The Queensland Prostitution Act. (As in making it a “World Class Act”) Win

2   Genuine Queensland Legal solo Operators. Win

3   Queensland’s Legal (Highly regulated) Licensed brothels.Win.

4   And the general public. Win

The only losers would be the illegal side of the industry

I am of the opinion that the P.L.A is well within there powers to implement

this request as advertising falls under their umbrella of powers.

I am also of the opinion that it is not up to the P.L.A to be the only one

to decide on this effective, efficient, low cost proposal, as it could

put the P.L.A in a most controversial position.

I therefore request the Hon Attorney General to put it in a bill to Parliament

so that it can be voted on and put forth as an “Amendment to the Act.”

This would, in my humble view, be the most democratic way forward, as

no one would hold sole responsibility or could be blamed, for implementing this most important item within the Act.

I will be forwarding a hard copy file in support of our request in an

overnight Post Bag. It is to be read in conjunction with the E-Mail’s below.

I believe it will assist you in your understanding of this most urgent, important and pivotal

issue that the survival of the Legal Sex Industry” depends on.

I fear that it will otherwise lead to a massive “policy failure.”

A petition signed by Co-Brothel owners in Queensland.

We propose that all prostitution is to be done strictly through a Queensland landline phone number only and that all mobile phone numbers used for advertising prostitution are to be banned and made illegal.

This petition will also be forwarded in the overnight bag as discussed above.

I hope that this will be well received, as it is well intended.

Yours sincerely

Dear Ruth McQuire,

Thank you for your response to my request.

Seeing that the Hon Peter Beattie is not contracted to the ABC at the moment

I would not think it appropriate to put this “State Issue” to him while on the

1018 Commonwealth Games Committee.

I do however think the “Queensland Prostitution Act” is in so much trouble as in

Policy Failure” that it may be worth putting this most important issue to the

Chief Editor of your ABC four Corners program.

There is to be a Qld brothel owner meeting to be held on the 19th of February

At 2.00pm at the Lord Stanley Hotel, 994 Stanley St, East Brisbane QLD 4169.

I would like to put forward and would much appreciate for an investigating

reporter to be present and maybe do a story on this most important pivotal

issue to the “Legal industry’s survival’.

I will also forward an additional E-Mail to confirm this meeting.

Thank you for your time once again.

Dear Laurence,

Can you please forward the E-Mail’s in this file to all stakeholders.

It is important that we do not cross messages. The most critical points to the

Minister will be the two outstanding recommendations from the C.M.C.

1  P.L.A’s policy on advertising.

    (My recommendation)                    “To advertise prostitution

STRICTLY WITH A QUEENSLAND LANDLINE PHONE NUMBER ONLY”

A interim committee reporting directly to the minister.

(My recommendation)             “So that Brothel owners and Managers

Can have an official recognised input”

The most important file to find and click on to in  https://www.cmc.aartbrons.com/ is

Aart Brons Submission to C.M.C. 17-12-2010”

I will end by saying if you find it important to support the above then

I most welcome your letter or E.Mail of support stating so.

So that it can be forwarded along with my own submission to the Minister.

I request for you to provide me with a path to put this most important “State Issue”

to the Ex Queensland Premier the Hon Peter Beattie. He is at present a political

commentator on you network. It was during his watch that the

Queensland Prostitution Act” was introduced and enacted, calling it a “World Class Act”.

We at Northern Belle fear “Policy Failure” as the number of legal brothels have droppedaccording to the P.L.A’s 2016 report from 27 to 22 due to “Viability Problems”

There are approx 90 brothels needed in Queensland so that the “Act” can be “Self Funded”through there licence fees. (5 times approx $40,000.00=$200,000.00 less in the kitty againleading to “Policy Failure”.

Please provide me with YOUR and or the Hon Peter Beattie E-Mail address so that I can

Dear Peter,

My name is Aart Brons and am the C.E.O of Northern Belle PTY, LTD.

First legal brothel in Cairns. https://www.northernbelle.com.auestablished in 2006.

I hope this e-mail finds you in good stead and wish you and your family

a Merry Christmas, and a happy and prosperous New Year.

I also congratulate you on your t/v program during the year on channel 24.

I am putting this important “State Issue” to you as a last resort as to help

and glean the “Queensland Prostitution Act” correct, as to prevent policy failure.

You having been the Premier of Queensland at the time to have implemented

the “Act” and called it “World class”.

Most submitters agree that 90% of the business is taken up by illegal prostitution.

Please refer to https://www.cmc.aartbrons.com

These most important issues urgently need to be put back on the agenda and was wondering and

hoping that in someway it could be done through your program on T/V?

This was also offered to Jessica Van Vonderen of the A.B.C to be read in www.cmc.aartbrons.com

on the right hand side of the page, she did not take it up and did not respond.

Please also click on to “Aart Brons submission to cmc 17-12-2010”

I realize that every Act evolves and needs amending from time to time.

but the two recommendations outstanding from theC.M.C in there report of 2006

and again in 2010 have still had NO outcome. These recommendations are in our

and the C.M.C’s opinion pivotal to the industries survival.

In the P.L.A report of 2016 licenced brothels went from 27 to 22

(Five closed it doors this year alone as being not viable)

They are threatening to go down even further if everybody keeps sitting on there hands.

This can only lead to policy failure as we need about 90 licenced brothels paying approx $40,000.00

per annum to be self funded and not rely on any subsidy from government to pay for the

most important safety net.

I greatly admired your premiership, and hope this plea will find you of good will.

In accordance with our brothel license regulation, I (your Licensee) am reporting again the repeated threatagainst our viability and that is  “Illegal prostitution being allowed to flourish in Cairns”.

Reluctant measures to our viability haveagain been taken as of 17-03-20014.

1  Northern Belle directors have taken a pay cut of approx $800.oo per week (Gross)

2  Made redundant manager M J Skulander and added those hours to my wife en Co Licensees input.

Saving approx $1500.oo per week (gross)

We at Northern Belle eagerly await the last two recommendations
