I smell a rat, as in the explanation given by the P.L.A.
Question 1: Why was the survey “assessment of sex workers at Licenced brothels”
called for in the first place.??
2: I believe you only have one chance at submitting a report,
so the first report by Respect Inc, “Must Stand”. Point Blank.
The P.L.A must be asked as to why the first report couldn't be published.??!!
3: The most important question that needs to be asked is.
Who called for a revision Respect Inc, or the P.L.A.??

Whilst Respect Inc has provided the PLA with a report, they have since decided to make some revisions,
which they advise are close to finalisation. Accordingly, the report is not yet available for public distribution.

In respect of Respect Inc, having been funded by the P.L.A in need of
an assessment of sex workers at licensed brothels, with contribution,
as in “our license fees” as stated in the P.L.A 2015-16 Annual Report.
This to confirm that some P.L.A funds were spent on Respect Inc,
I have not seen an outcome in any way shape or form, or did I miss
Respect Inc, report on this issue.??

Thank you for your email.
Respect Inc is a non-government organisation and its operations are funded by recurrent service agreements with Queensland Health. As stated in the PLA Annual Report 2015-16, the PLA has made two philanthropic contributions to Respect Inc to conduct a needs assessment of sex workers at licensed brothels, and for a sex worker exit and retraining program courses costs subsidy.
One of the stated objectives of Respect Inc is: “To lobby government to provide sex workers with legal avenues to work within any area of the Queensland sex work trade/industry as they choose (e.g. escort, in-house, agency, private/sole operator, co-operatives and/or street) without fear of arrest or prosecution for criminal offenses related to sex work business activities”.
The PLA is not affiliated with Respect Inc. It is an independent organisation and the PLA does not influence its activities or statements. The position of Respect Inc on sex industry law reform is a matter for that organisation.

I believe Respect Inc, is partly, funded by the P.L.A paid for through our licence fees.
This action by Respect Inc, is (In my humble opinion) “Intolerable”.
